Patents |
The importance of patents cannot be overstated. A patent portfolio can be the very core of a company's vitality and success. Acquiring broad patent protection for new and emerging technologies can insure a company's future for years to come. It is, therefore, crucial to select the right patent attorneys who best understand both the patent law and the particular technology so as to obtain the most valuable patent possible. Otherwise, a client may find itself with a worthless patent portfolio and competing against a competitor armed with strong patents to boot.
Our patent practice is not limited to just acquiring a patent. That's too short sighted. Thomas|Kayden has a thriving patent law practice comprised of some of the most sought after patent attorneys who are capable of not only prosecuting broad patents but who also are often able to counsel clients about the state of the technical fields themselves. Our patent attorneys are comprised of people having diverse technical backgrounds and experiences, which collectively creates an impressive technology base. This reason alone has propelled our practice beyond our expectations, as we have had countless opportunities to better serve our clients in developing their patent portfolios and business strategies, which is at least one way we turn ideas into assets.
In addition to our patent prosecution practice, our clients regularly seek our counsel in regard to:
- Opinions of patentability;
- Opinions of infringement/non-infringement;
- Patent validity/invalidity studies;
- Due Diligence reports;
- Appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Inferences;
- Prior art searches;
- Patent licensing issues;
- Product clearance opinions;
- Patent portfolio management; and much more.
