Prior to joining Thomas|Horstemeyer, Thomas operated an e-commerce consulting business that developed and maintained e-commerce web sites for several small retailers. He has extensive hands-on experience in designing and programming online shopping cart and order fulfillment systems.

Thomas's graduate research at Georgia Tech focused on networking and telecommunications, including novel methods of monitoring Internet conditions and implementing robust, low-latency audio transmission over IP networks. While at Georgia Tech, Thomas served as Chief Engineer of WREK Radio, overseeing operation and maintenance of a 40 kW FM transmission facility and corresponding studio facilities. Additionally, Thomas designed and implemented a broadcast automation scheduling system in software to interface with WREK's existing systems. Thomas also served as a teaching assistant for Georgia Tech's introductory computer science course for nine semesters.

Thomas has been a registered patent agent since 2006 and worked at Thomas|Horstemeyer as a summer associate during law school.

Since joining Thomas|Horstemeyer full time in the Fall of 2008, Thomas has focused on patent prosecution in the electrical arts.


Thomas is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Thomas is admitted to practice in Georgia and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
